Was established in May 2005 as a fund under the auspices of the Mendocino County Community Foundation (Tax  ID # 68-0330462)   to make grants to organizations that support Drug Court participants and their families in meeting needs not covered by other means.

Friends of Drug Court exists to

►  Raise needed funds to assist with participants’ basic needs for food, clothing, rent, education and training that may not otherwise be addressed.

►  Develop a resource database and seminars on how to navigate community resources.

►  Build public awareness of drug courts and their benefits to the community and the participants.

►  Help with program graduations, National Drug Court Month and other special events.

►  Assist with the “in-kind” needs of the program and the participants (e.g. securing incentive gifts).

►  Broker “in-kind” services for participants such as independent living skills and personal grooming
